Great Smoky Mountains National Park
It’s no wonder that Great Smoky Mountains National Park is America’s most visited national park. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies
Get up close and personal with more than 10,000 exotic sea creatures – comprised of more than 350 species – at Ripley’s® Aquarium of the Smokies®. Located less than a half mile from our hotels, there are numerous exhibits for you to explore, including the lush and colorful Tropical Rainforest, Indo-Pacific Coral Reef, Touch-a-Ray Bay, Penguin Playhouse, and the largest and most popular exhibit – Shark Lagoon. The Sea-For-Yourself Discovery Center is a kid’s paradise, offering unique educational programs on the ocean environment and marine life as well as hands-on exhibits with live horseshoe crabs.
Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area & Amusement Park
Hit the slopes for a day of exhilarating fun and excitement at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area & Amusement Park, less than a half mile from our hotels. Ober Gatlinburg offers four seasons of fun, with activities like skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating, and outdoor activities, which include an alpine slide and wildlife encounter. For the best view of the Smoky Mountains, be sure to take a ride on the Aerial Tramway, which departs regularly from downtown Gatlinburg up to the summit.
Day Trip to Pigeon Forge
Dollywood® offers a day of fun for young and old alike. Located just 8 miles from our hotels, the park features exhilarating rides like the Wild Eagle roller coaster — the country’s first “wing” coaster, and attractions like Adventure Mountain — a multi-level obstacle course with more than 100 obstacles, as well as live shows featuring blue grass performers, stunt dogs, country music singers, and a magician.
If you work up an appetite with all the excitement, there are several dining spots and snack stands inside the park from which to choose, including Aunt Granny’s All-You-Care-To-Eat Buffet and Hickory House BBQ.
